He studied photography and photojournalism in IDEP, a renamed school in Barcelona, and several workshops and courses lectured by importants professionals of all around the world, like Michael Nichols or Steve Mccurry. He has accomplished exhibitions of his work in many galleries of Spain and others countries. He teaches photojournalism and travel photography in some private schools and Universities like UPC, IED, GRISART, CEV and IEFC. Also has been interviewed by several channels of radio, TV and newspapers about his works, adventures and features. Acts as freelance for newspapers and internationals magazines and is represented by the prestigious agency Aisa Media, based in Barcelona. From 2004 is a founder member of the European Geographic Society and member of Reporters sans frontièrs. Among his reportages and expeditions stand out the ones executed in Irak, North Korea, Jaffna, Potosi Mines, San Pedro Penitenciary or Choquequirao Citadel, but not to forget is his work about leprosy, his deep look into the bowels of Mumbai or his coverage in the RD Congo war. His features are, mainly, based in documentary, social reporting, anthropology and travels or expeditions. Alfons understand traveling as the way to live, as an spiritual exercise and photography like the tool to express in a tangible way his own look and his perception of the world. The pictures he takes are published in different kind of media, for example in National Geographic Magazine in Spain, Italy or Portugal, Der Spiegel,Geo, Traveler, 7 Leguas, Rutas del Mundo, Altaïr, The Courrier, etc. And others magazines and newspapers like El Mundo, El Periódico, Woman, and Playboy magazine among others. Is author of the book \" Walata and Tichitt, heart and soul of the mauritanian desert\", and coauthor of the oficial catalogue of ExpoZaragoza 2008 dedicated to the water. Alfons achieves some others woks on photography as advertising, jury in photographic competitions or writing articles on press for example.
